Can you believe there are only 2 runs left in the Brookhaven Run Series? It has been a fun year of holiday walks and runs. Not only do these runs get you in the holiday spirit, they have inspired our community to get out and exercise. According to the Department of Health and Human Resources more than 80% of adults do not meet the guidelines for both aerobic and muscle-strengthening activities, and more than 80% of adolescents do not do enough aerobic physical activity to meet the guidelines for youth. Participating in these runs is a great way to kickstart your way into habitual everyday physical activity. Studies also show that exercise improves mental health. If these aren’t enough reasons to get out there and run, consider joining the fun to meet a new friend in the community. We hope to see you all at Trick-or-Trot on Oct.26th!
