Save the date! The Annual Ole Brook Festival, held in historic downtown Brookhaven, will be October 3, 2020. This is our biggest event of the year and will be fun for the whole family! The festival will look a little different this year, but we are still looking forward to all of the fun it will offer. It will include the Ole Brook Car Show, Mississippi Girls for a Cure 5k Run/Walk, Arts & Crafts Marketplace, live entertainment and food vendors!
On Saturday from 8am-4pm hundreds of Arts and Crafts vendors and food vendors will be in full swing along the downtown streets! The Mississippi Girls for a Cure 5k will begin at 8:30 am and the Ole Brook Car show will begin at 9:00 am.
Because of the pandemic, many changes have been made. We are sure you have a few questions about the changes in place. Find all of your answers here!
Q: What will the layout of this year’s festival look like?
A: The festival will be located in Downtown Brookhaven on Whitworth and Railroad Ave just like previous years. Our vendor booths will be spread out at least 10’. The car show will line up with every other parking spot available. The food zone will be spread out between the North and South parking lots across from Railroad Park. All of this is to promote social distancing while enjoying the usual shopping and eating of the annual festival.
Q: Will there be live entertainment?
A: YES! Although we are not providing a “Main Stage” this year. Musicians and entertainment will be located at a small stage beside the car show entrance and at the Foster-Smith Log Cabin in Railroad Park.
Q: Will there be a KidZone?
A: At this time, we are not planning to provide a KidZone with jumpies and amusement rides. Stay tuned for kid activities and/or shows.
Q: Will masks be required?
A: Currently, the city of Brookhaven is not mandated to wear masks. Though it is encouraged when social distancing cannot be achieved, it is not required. We intend to have “Hygiene Stations” located at various points throughout the festival where disposable masks will be for sale for $2 along with hand sanitizing station.
Q: Is the festival free to attend?
A: As always, the Ole Brook Festival is FREE to park and FREE to attend.
