Downtown in December!
We have been excitedly enjoying our Downtown in December in Brookhaven this holiday season! At just a couple weeks in, it’s already proved to be a holiday favorite this year.
If you haven’t admired the 32-foot-tall Christmas tree that has been on display in front of the Military Museum this month, there’s still time to enjoy it as it will be up and lit each evening until January 2. In addition to the tree, Santa Claus’ sleigh and a 1950’s antique truck is also set up nearby for socially distanced photo opportunities.
The log cabin located at South Whitworth Avenue is as festive as can be and decorated inside and out, as well as being open each Thursday-Saturday, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. until Christmas Day, for tours and photo opportunities.
While Covid-19 guidelines have stalled some traditional holiday events and activities, Downtown in December is a great way to enjoy some holiday fun in a safe and socially distanced way. While this holiday season has certainly looked different, there’s one thing for certain – ‘Ole Brook knows how to do Christmas cheer downtown! But don’t just take our word for it, come see for yourself!
