It is almost time for Brookhaven’s first ever Mardi Gras event! The event will include a Brass band leading a walking Jazz Parade followed by the Copiah Lincoln Community College Jazz band beginning at 7 p.m. The Bridge band will then entertain the audience on South Railroad Avenue until 9 p.m.

Beginning at 4 p.m. there will be public and private tours in the downtown area. The public tours will take place at the Military Memorial Museum, Lincoln County Historical Museum, Mary Jane Lampton Auditorium, and First United Methodist Church.

Armbands will be sold for $10 for all of the private tours. Private tour areas include First Bank, New York Life, Hurst Review Services, Inn on Whitworth and two downtown apartments.
